Chesha ~ Technopathic Human Empty
PostSubject: Chesha ~ Technopathic Human   Chesha ~ Technopathic Human I_icon_minitimeSun Sep 19, 2010 2:27 am

Name: Chesha
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Height: 5ft
Weight: 80lbs

Appearance:
Upon first look its easy to identify Chesha as anything but human. Such is not her fault as she can't even tell a person how she came about the odd body parts: merely that she has them. Feline ears adorn her head, triangular in shape and just as mobile as any cat's, but the tail doesn't appear to really match since it looks more like three tails smashed into one, Chesha treating it as an extra hand despite its wide girth – but nevertheless excellent for a rude hand gesture at a moment's notice, and uses it not unlike some simians utilize theirs. The fur color matches that of her hair's, a nice, soft black hue. Eyes match with the realization they have a purple to magenta sheen when closer up, but otherwise swim with dark colors befitting black.

Overall her body is thin, geared more towards acrobatics than any weight lifting competition, but she just says it means its easier to cuddle her with a happy notation she can hug a person two different ways: arms or with her tail. Its not usually her people are worried about, but sometimes her personality makes others reconsider such. Skin is light against her dark tone fur and hair, sometimes tricking people into thinking her tone even lighter than it truly is, though there lay a few freckles sitting around her nasal area and between the eyes. Switching between a fun pleasure and a nuisance is the fact her face can be quite expressive and betray emotions well: whether she wants to or not. Unlike some who possess poker faces Chesha couldn't if her life depended on it, thus requires using false emotions if she wishes to hide feelings. Out of everything exuberance shines the brightest, while rage becomes one of the quieter emotions facially – nevertheless noticeable in a glare though might be mistaken for simple anger.

Chesha's style of clothing veers towards that which is made of durable materials with some comfort worked into the garments. For those hot days the pants can pull up and be tied to sit a bit under her knees, and for hot days or times she might be working she can simply untie them for the pants to fall back down, albeit slightly crinkled. A large leather belt holds the pants in place, multiple rings ready should she have to attach a few tools here and there. Though her jacket runs up a little short in length, alongside her white undershirt, the sleeves are long to help protect her arms and fully capable of rolling up for warm days. The attached hood possesses holes cut in for her feline ears to poke through, but sometimes the hood is substituted with a witch's hat that has a long and jagged tail to it because it amuses her to wear the hat when she feels like referring to herself as “the Techno Wizard.” Shoes are often steel-toed for safety measures as well, and a pair of gloves are always in one of her pockets when she remembers which ones.

Spoiler:

Race: English
Soul race: Human
Hair color: Black, slight blue shine but more a trick of the light. Styling wise its kept short so tips kiss around her shoulders and barely reaching her shoulder blades in places. Bangs can be short to long, often swept to the sides but can easily fall back in front of her face for fun shadowing. The fur upon her tail and ears is more towards short with some medium length on her tail – more towards the three ends.
Eye color: Black in most lights but bright enough and up close there's a small telling shine of purple to magenta.
Body type: Thin and agile type
Country of origin: Scotland (Tairia)

Personality:
Chesha could be any psychologist's dream if they could pin her down long enough and sure of all their data: save for the problem that she'd also have fun throwing them for a loop constantly on purpose only to discount all their data the next minute. Crafty in mind its hard to sometimes keep up with Chesha's thought processes and what are just fake lines to throw one off – with not all of the “random tangents” there to throw one off: some of them are quite real. No thanks to the vastness of the internet and Chesha sometimes going nuts on letting her mind hook up has made for bursts of attention problems, especially in less-stressful times to the point one could liken her to any “insane cat-lady.” Chesha absolutely adores having company when not in the throes of creating a new mechanical playmate since she loves seeing reactions to people.

Trust is a bit of an issue for Chesha thanks largely to her paranoia, which in turn is caused by her past. As such, since she tends to act a lot alike with many people, its hard to find any discernible reaction that links her loyalty closer to one person over another since she doesn't mind attacking random strangers for a hug. Only at the last minute might it become plain as day who she likes more and even then the other person isn't necessarily treasured by her. Displeasure readily reads across her face, eyes happily telling in a second she's ready to rip someone to shreds – usually something they've done to piss her off since she'd rather not fight without rhyme or reason. Fighting comes with too many risks, and she finds more enjoyment from messing with minds than harming bodies.

Jokes could be made towards her sense of curiosity, likening it to the fact she's kitty-like when its more natural than that: anything new immediately piques her curiosity. Like any kid in a candy store the new technology or even aspect of another brings life excitement in her at the prospect of a discovery and gaining new information. Technology runs a harder time near her than just observing a new ability or capability because she tends to take that apart and then put it back together while trying avenues to make it better than before. Its up there with taking joyrides along the hills of Scotland and telling a different story each time as to why she has the ears and tail.

background:

The beginning of Chesha's story begins before rebirth, a little soul amongst many within Soul Society's boundaries. Bored with life there, Chesha – name at the time long forgotten – sought company and gained it in the form of a soul reaper within the research division. Many chats made the nights pass by quicker for her, the young soul gaining an appetite quickly for learning from the new friend of the studies that weren't so secret and of other discoveries or mere facts. Whatever stories he told she ate up, determined after a point to organize the things he said by truth and lies. Not all within the research facility were as kind as him, the girl a novice when it came to breaking and entering without getting caught and quickly found when she stumbled into an occupied lab. Caged for years she had to endure odd experiments, sometimes testing new concoctions that warped her soul to the point of the odd appendages appearing. Striving to witness one last experiment he could use her for before he lost his subject, he shoved a bright pink liquid down her throat, to which point Chesha lost consciousness and those memories.

Thus a baby girl was born to a horrified family to see the unorthodox limbs and pieces on their daughter. The final liquid created a way for the appearance to travel through to rebirth and the immediate hiding of a child unfit for society as far as her parents cared. In the city it was hard to find time to play outside, the couple allowing outside time closer to nighttime when others would likely care less to look into their yard, sometimes allowing her out when she was older under the guise of being an uncompromising child: she loved to wear headband cat ears, and the tail explained as an odd pillow that comforted her. Halloween easily became her favorite holiday as a child since then she could wander dressed up even weirder and run about all day long. One Halloween at the park she spied some kids, and out of sight temporarily from her parents, toddled over to find them huddled over some hand held gaming system and “oohing” and “ahing” over the game – some version of Pokemon. Uncharacteristically kind of the child, they let her have a go at playing, Chesha wincing when she felt a shock but ignored it because the game looked fun. Glaring at the screen when a pokemon refused to be caught, everyone quickly handed out advice only to watch as she caught it with the next pokeball while the critter was at full health still. Time and time again they dared her to do it again and discovered something: she was as good as a game shark or action replay device because when she wanted something to happen in the game it tended to occur pretty quick.

Found not-quite-quick-enough by her parents they hustled her away, disturbed by the whispers and stares of the other children as they ushered her back home. Intrigued by their comments, Chesha began experimenting, starting with a few kitchen appliances. From there she moved on, programing the time into the infamous VCR and later the DVD player, and once she reached the family computer her parents figured out there was more to her than an out-of-place pair of ears and tail. Around a corner her mother watched as she sat at the computer for hours without budging so much as an inch yet the screen was alive with activity. Through documents and images, sound files randomly playing in bursts, to the internet browser rapidly switching from page-to-page and rustling through one article after another. The computer eventually crashed and the next day, almost as soon as her father left for work, Chesha opened up the computer to rifle through until her mother pulled her away: Chesha refused to let that stop her. Her mother watched in avid horror as the parts began moving through the air, wires uncoiling and motherboard barbs and connections swapping back and forth to other places as they'd float by her, replaced into the computer until everything was in place and the cover placed itself back over. Once the computer booted up it said “hello” and her mother fainted.

Armed with this information the father saw an opportunity and quickly took it, taking his daughter to work to watch as she modified all the computers in the company to far greater running standards. Even the coffee machines brewed better batches once she was through, the higher ups deciding they could use a girl like her on payroll – the father cashing in naturally. As a young girl of five years old it didn't make a lick of sense to her beyond the fact her father appeared happier lately and mother even more terrified. But she gained more free-time, which she grew to adore, and used it to cruise the internet a bit more to learn as her brain soaked up all it could. Until she learned of the idea of being “used” and “manipulated.” The fact that their daughter became more and more withdrawn didn't occur to the couple because finally they were getting somewhere and even invited to the big league parties: baby sitters had to deal with Chesha's new attitude. Chesha made up her mind one night while her parents schmoozed with the big bucks.

Bosses were furious: why did all the systems crash? Computers suddenly turn off? On the way to the office they usually let Chesha play in and deemed as “hers” the lights went out, causing those creeping sensations up the spine as they opened the door. Only light came from the monitor – purely blue, her head hung low. For weeks she'd been working on it, hiding it beneath the desk because people didn't bother with her office unless there was a problem and even then a short email fixed anything from a distance. The only problem was she needed a far greater power source than anything she could find and revamp, or batteries: she could barely keep it running for but a few minutes off her energy alone. Wide feline eyes stared at them in horror, or rather, the large creature standing behind the group of suits. Blood dripped from the body held clenched between its jaws and the thump of it alerted the others that something might be wrong as it roared. Shinigami arrived too late to save the office workers, the news media later would speculate to be the work of a rogue employee gone mad. So many souls...and as the shinigami fought the creature Chesha forced them into compact forms and shoved them into her creation, escaping with it while they stood preoccupied.

Rain soaked her the whole ride home on the back of the metallic creature, panic desiring her eyes wide despite the downpour as the creature bull rushed the door and smashed it inwards. Regardless of the times Chesha tried to explain what happened her mother refused to stop screaming, and Chesha grew tired of the accusations of being a monster. That thing back in the office had been a monster...she tried not to dwell on it as her mother then took to trying to call the police and Chesha made a mistake: she killed her mother. Panic: pure and simple. The robotic beast with her had stabbed what it deemed to be the cause of her stress and then devoured the human soul. Thoroughly freaked out but feeling like the only beast she could trust was the one that just killed her mother, Chesha hid inside as it flew off, racing to the hills and out of the city from the horrors there. Chesha never expected to see that monstrosity again.

Lady Luck showed Chesha some kindness there, as when Cassiel – the name she bestowed upon the metallic beast – tuckered out, depleting even most of Chesha's stores of energy after it'd run dry of soul energy, a family discovered them. Without freaking they'd loaded the monster into the back of a wagon and hoisted the girl up into it and layered with a few spare blankets they'd had along for the ride. The owners of a brewery along with a small farm, Chesha discovered another abnormal type of humans: Quincy. The few employed on the farm and brewery were humans, but those of the main family knew how to wield a bow and reishi, Chesha learning how to augment Cassiel to fly more on reishi than his or her spirit energy. Became the time she knew what to call the other murderous beast: a hollow. A kind family, they took the wayward girl in quickly enough though she preferred to hear about their abilities as well as watch the lessons given to the daughter Chesha grew to see as an older sister. In reward for helping with a few of their facilities they even procured metals for Chesha to work with alongside random bits of computers people tossed out. Thus began the construction of another like Cassiel, but Chesha modeled them more towards her new family with the help of her “older sister” Sarynn.

Fear consumed her when it came to talking about Cassiel and how he worked to her new family, easily telling about some of the mechanics but divulging the secret on how he moved and acted so alive, so...sentient drove her to silence when it came to him. Questions of how she'd bring the new one to life resulted with more silence because Chesha had no answer...she didn't want to kill to power it up, but she liked Cassiel's company so much and the power of the Quincy she'd begun building a bot capable of fighting for her with bows and arrows like them. Cassiel could bumrush, but in a full-on fight with that monster she didn't think he'd do well. However with leftover work she didn't sweat the small details and took pleasure in explaining the various bits of circuitry to Sarynn or the adoptive parents. As she'd never given them her name – having forgotten it actually – and between her love of Alice in Wonderland and the fact she always seemed to grow a Cheshire's grin when learning something new or spying new technology, the family named her 'Chesha.'

The joy fell away one night when Chesha realized things had become far too silent, the usual noises of creatures nonexistent in the night air. That wicked presence caused a shiver down her spine as eyes widened and knew the feeling from a year ago. Silence died as shouts filled the air, the family trying to fight the beast she recognized as the one from the office – hadn't those people in robes finished it off back then? She quickly closed the door as her heart raced and she stared at the still unfinished creature. Even powering it for a moment might help...but she'd have to work a lot faster and immediately began hacking at the metal for the brewery to use on the robot when she ran out: mostly for armor since the inner system lay finished long ago. As she worked the noises died down until only a lone roar echoed out and a ghostly light appeared next to her. Later water would fill her eyes and pour freely as she stared at the visions of her adoptive family, all of them telling her to sneak out as they'd distract the beast: they'd managed to harm it enough to slow it down.

Running...she hated the idea of doing that for the rest of her life from this monstrocity, slapping the last piece of metal into place as she readied to pour energy into the latest one. But now...why bother? Just the smallest of questions: “do you want to keep fighting?” Of course they did, but without a proper body anymore and their crosses laying in pieces outside they couldn't. The barest of explanations revealed Cassiel to be filled with human souls: old victims of the hollow outside...and they could enter her latest to power it up as he was. Without hesitation and the souls of warriors they entered it, Sarynn taking over as the main soul with the experience and knowledge of her parents. Using Cassiel's hardened body as a distraction for the beast Sarynn leaped from the building to shoot down the hollow until it lay as nothing more than a damaged soul ready for an arrow-based death or a soul reaper's sending. Except Chesha saw the benefits in letting it live within the compact form she'd made previous souls take on before filling Cassiel with them. A few lingering bits of soul fell from it as she forced it into that form, from the shinigami over a few meetings including at the office, and Chesha stored them all within Sarynn and Cassiel. Only stored though since she didn't want to use the tainted soul with those she loved and...somewhat innocent human souls, and the shinigami held other capabilities.

No longer tied to the area Chesha moved on again, a little stronger and filled with a bit more knowledge alongside gaining a new ally. The new bot she named after Sarynn, who stayed as the dominant soul, amused at her sort of 'rebirth.' Eventually the travels brought them back towards cities and towns as they watched more battles between the hollows and shinigami, sometimes playing a bit of “soul collection” whenever a side lost and they could manage it. Sure at times they merely watched, but sometimes the shinigami didn't make it and before back-up arrived they'd take out the hollow and keep the shinigami's dying soul and sword, before collecting the hollow's as well. Doubtful of her ability to control souls stronger than normal humans and ones not as willing as the Quincy Chesha merely kept the few she had until she figured the time was right to create another.

Though far more rare than the treat of watching them battle was watching bounts feast upon souls, Chesha learning to become a stalker when intrigued by a young bount and his growing doll. She'd giggled to herself a few times to realize they were like vampires, laughing further at all the teenage romance novels involving the creatures only to witness them drinking something far more precious than blood. Here and there she almost slipped up and he found her out only for food to walk on by and tempt him back away, or an alley cat to take the blame. If it hadn't been for his loving doll she might not have captured him since Sarynn reasoned with her that he was a menace to human kind. But his partner possessed enough loyalty to point out to the curious girl that the death of a bount is far different than that of a human. However with little hope on their side Chesha offered them the possibility to go on living, just in another form like the two behind her. Given the circumstances he opted for living rather than the true death and Chesha dealt with him just like the other souls in a manner that wouldn't result in him turning to dust. She didn't much like dust anyways.

Since then she's gained another bount soul and doll, but kept any of the 'collecting' to a minimum since large numbers mean unwanted attention and potential confiscation of her growing 'family.' Her point wasn't to take down the other races, conquer, or anything malicious so much as research...and potentially add to her self-made pool of friends. Part of her was addicted to the idea of having those she could trust, thanks largely to Sarynn since Cassiel acted almost more like a family pet than a sentient being – she wasn't quite sure what went wrong with him. Finding understanding humans appeared hard since her Quincy family, let alone those with powers and she had no clue how to approach a shinigami without potentially becoming targeted – same for bounts but for another reason there.

Most of her days are spent wandering, sometimes sprucing up someone's technology but usually hacking them at the same time. Police care more about hacked bank accounts than shinigami at least, and a girl has to eat after all. A lot of time ends up being spent joyriding through the green hills of Scotland and by breweries and fuzzy cows since they evoke pleasant memories while she begins to plot new creations as its been many years since she built Sarynn's body, despite giving the two upgrades here and there. Time spent amongst actual people comes and goes when the fancy takes her and when she needs to hack another account for cash.

Thank you ^^

So changed the post count, added in the 6 +'s for general, 4 for race specific, and then an additional 2 +'s to general thanks to how Unnatural Attunement works. Gods I already have to go update the bots now XD
